Illegal Search Leads to Dismissal

My client was charged with possession of illegal drugs after police conducted a “pat search” of his person and found a substantial amount of methamphetamine. I filed a motion to suppress and asked the judge to exclude the drugs from evidence because the officer had no legal basis for the pat search. The judge agreed and the case was dismissed.
