The Cohen Defense Group is offering an employment opportunity that marries your dreams of financial success and career satisfaction with a simpler more fulfilling lifestyle.
We currently are looking to hire an experienced trial lawyer to join our team. The position will involve handling a felony calendar of court-appointed cases from arraignment through jury trial including settlement negotiations, contested motions, preliminary hearings, and writs. In addition, the position involves the development and representation of private practice criminal cases in the home county of Placer as well as surrounding counties of Sacramento, Yuba, Yolo, El Dorado, Sutter, and Nevada. The position may be ideally suited to a practitioner with a successful private practice seeking the benefits of joining a well-developed team of lawyers, or to an experienced public defender looking for the opportunity to develop a private practice while committing greater resources to their indigent clients than their public defender caseloads permit. The ideal candidate for the position will possess a work history reflecting heavy advocacy and criminal litigation experience either in the public or private sector. All applicants must be proficient in legal research and writing, capable of adapting to new technology, and must be members of the California State Bar.
We are looking for a lawyer to join our Placer County based criminal practice using our offices in Roseville and Auburn. This lawyer will have a practice focused on representation of juveniles both court-appointed and privately. However the position will involve representation in other criminal defense areas consistent with the selected candidate’s skillset and interest such as adult misdemeanors, writs and appeals, and other areas.
We are seeking to add a receptionist to our team to serve as the communications hub of the firm handling phone calls, responding to texts and emails, and working with our team and our clients throughout the representation.
