My client was a passenger in a car stopped for not having valid registration. She had not broken any laws, but the officer searched her possessions before allowing her to leave. The officer found drugs and paraphernalia and charges were filed. I moved to suppress the evidence found during the search. The judge granted my motion, finding that the officer searched her possessions illegally. Everything the officer found was suppressed and the case was dismissed.
