My client relapsed with alcohol and was charged with being drunk in public. I encouraged him to attend AA meetings and filed a written request for dismissal based on the time that had passed since his arrest, his motivation toward self-improvement, and his demonstrated return to sobriety. The DA did not oppose my request, and the court dismissed the case.
